23rd Orchid Walk Raises Cancer Awareness in Lefke

The 23rd Orchid Walk was held at Lefke Atatürk Park on March 16, bringing together around 100 to 150 participants to support cancer research and raise awareness through a charity hiking event. The walk began at 10:00 a.m. and continued until 1:00 p.m., taking participants through different

parts of Lefke before returning to the park for activities and entertainment programs. Along the route, many participants had the opportunity to experience parts of the town they had never fully noticed before, making the event feel more personal than just a regular community walk.

For some attendees, including students living in Lefke, the event became a chance to connect more closely with the town and discover local places such as schools, public buildings, and other areas often overlooked in daily life. The walk created an energetic atmosphere as people moved together through the streets while supporting an important cause.

After returning to the park, organizers continued the program with music, dancing, and a lottery activity for participants. Ticket sales from the event contributed to fundraising efforts for cancer research, while organizers also highlighted the importance of cancer awareness and community support.

Parents, students, and local residents remained actively involved throughout the day, showing strong participation from the Lefke community. The event ended at Lefke Atatürk Park, where attendees gathered after the walk to continue supporting the campaign and its message.
