The “Green Lefke Digital Market,” aiming to connect local producers in Lefke and surrounding villages directly with consumers, was launched today with a ceremony. Implemented through a collaboration between Lefke Municipality and local development agencies, the project aims to revitalize the region’s economy.

Designed according to the inverted pyramid principle, this project will allow everyone from citrus producers to handicraft makers to market their products nationwide without intermediaries. Speaking at the opening, municipal official Ahmet Demir emphasized the project’s importance, stating: “Our goal is to ensure that our producers’ hard work reaches its deserved value by combining it with the power of the digital world.”

Free training sessions on the use of the digital platform will be provided to producers at the public education center throughout the next week.
